Amy Smart has been a model, actress, and a former American. Her modelling career began in Italy in Italy, in which she was born and raised, before being was born in California. Her first role as an actor was in the 1996 TV production Her Costly Affair. It took some time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller role. It was a difficult transition for Amy since she needed to move from modelling into performing. Models aren't considered great actors so they tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy persevered. She made her way to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. In 2005, she took as the lead in The romantic comedic film Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years struggling. She did some big films in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles on the Shameless series.
