Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles that shaped her life at an early age by using her creative and imaginative imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she could write or read. The first guitar she received was gifted to her when she turned eight. She started singing at an Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. That following year, she made her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small label. While still in highschool She made her mark in the local community, yet she yearned for a larger stage. When she was graduating in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) and Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist for his show that was syndicated from the beginning. Parton accepted the job and in the year 1967, she signed to RCA Records in 1968 and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. The show ended in 1974 when her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. Parton recorded "I I Will Never Forget You" for Wagoner just after the pair split. It reached No. For the first time, in 1974.
