Fawn Mckay
Fawn MCK Brodie was born on the 15th of September 1915 in Ogden Utah. Fawn MacKay, born into the Mormon Church's founding family, applied her brilliant writing skills as well as her impressive research skills in order to create the psycho-historical biographies of Joseph Smith. The book, The book, No Man is a Master of My History was published in 1945. The title of this book was inspired by a funeral speech delivered in 1844 by Church of Latter-Day Saints founder Joseph Smith. In that sermon he stated: "You do not know who I am and have not seen my soul." My history is unknown to anybody. Nobody knows my story. Fawn aged 29 has written. Fawn is taking on the mantle of writing since the day he began. The documents do not lack however they contradict each the other. Compiling these documents - - sifting through first-hand and third-hand sources, and integrating Mormons' narratives to other people's historical context - can be a challenge. It is fascinating and informative. Fawn Brodie's career was devoted to this aim. Her research and writings brought her fame around all over the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil drives (1959). Thomas Jefferson. The intimate Histories (1974) as well as Richard Nixon.
